Message:
I see that many manufactures make coil springs that are for V6 and V8 Dakotas. What is the difference between the V8 and V6 coils.

Message: The difference in the v6 and v8 coils are that the 8 coils have more weight carrying capabilities cause the engine is that much heavier.

Message: get the bulldozer out dropt98dakota is bs'n you it has more to due with current flow capabilities due to the V-6 fireing 3 times per revolution vs the V-8 fireing 4 time per revolution. In most practicle real life day to day usage on the street there is really no need to have different coils if you are using the same ignition system on a six vs the eight with the only differnce being the distributer for the 6 and the 8.
