I'll be honest and say I have no clue. However, I bought a grill off of ebay for like $35. When I had the plastic on the bumpers painted to match the truck, they sprayed the grill. In my opinion it's a little easier. I do know that painting over chrome is a task. Sorry I couldn't help any more.
