 Subject: bumper cover question

I need to get rid of my front bumper on my truck cuz it's starting to look pretty crumbly. Do the bumper covers really cover the entire bumper or is it just another name for a valance that replaces the old one? May seem like a dump question but I was curious.

I recently got a Stillen bumper cover, which fits over the exsisting bumper and lower valence. On some covers you remove the lower valence, but on this one it fits over everything.
The paint on my bumper was starting to look a little pitted from road wear.

I got a Stillen bumper cover. Just like EmeraldV6 said it covers the stock bumper cover. On a Sport Dak, the stock bumper cover covers the steel bumper. I think on a SLT, there is a chrome steel bumper and a lower valence. The Stillen cover would cover everything. Street Scene (SS) Bumper cover is similiar looking to Stillen but with a line to separating the bumper and lower valence. Check out DakUSA's ride in group buys. He has a SS bumper cover. I think the SS bumper removes the stock cover. I hope this helps.

You only see the inside valence if you look up behind the wheel well. The original valence sits inside the cover snug.

Jay, do a word search for "bumper covers" here on the board. some people have posted pics with them on their trucks in some of the posts.
