Anyone ever installed a set of racing seats in their Dakota? Something like the R1 seats or similar. I want to get a set but I'm wondering about the difficulty of this install. And if anyone has any pics of their install, email them to me at low97dak@hotmail.com. Thanks for any help.

hey adam..i got a set..ill throw a link at the bottom to my pics page...no direct shots of the seats..but u can still see them..i got a set of 3A racing sats..pretty cheap..and they came with the sliders...but we took them off and bolted them on to the factory ones using cross braces.

i have the Corbeau CR1 seats... not too hard to install. I used my factory brackets and only had to drill two holes on each one (the other two mounting holes lined up)

Adam.they were about 3 bills for the pair...fully recline.several different colors..and come with sliders

Jeff, I found these seats on ebay. My main 2 questions are 1) I have a 38" waste and I am a large guy, how do these seats fit? 2)HOw are these for an install. Do you need custom brackets, sliders, etc.? Thanks, Jacob

Well jacob...imma pretty big guy myself..6ft 1 240.i fit fine into them..they are a lil firm..but very supportive..my buddy got a couple pieces of steel from his work to make the cross braces..the seat holes were closer together than the factory.....hope this helps some

Thanks for the response. Just bought the seats. I don't know of anyone around here that makes cross braces. I have a 1999 Dakota R/T. Not sure if it is the same fitting as yours. But if you friend does side stuff see if he would make them for me and how much he would do it for. Let me know either way. Got the seats now just have to get them in :) Thanks, vball005@yahoo.com
