Subject: center console removal question
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2003 QC w/bucket seats. I need to loosen the rear end of the center console to slip a floor mat underneath. I have located and loosened the two bolts in the bottom rear of the console, but it is not coming up from the floor at all. Am I doing this right? I don't want to disassemble more than I have to. Thx in advance.

i've got an '02 QC with the center console that also doubles as a middle seat when the arm rest is folded up. mine has 4 bolts...2 in the back and 2 in the front. all the same size.

OK, got it. My problem was the inner bottom of the console would not come all the way out so I could only loosen the two rear bolts. Today it was very warm and the bottom just twisted almost in half so I could remove it completely and loosen the two front bolts as well. The rear floormat/cargo tray looks good and fits well, I would highly recommend it.
