I saw on the old posts that everyone says to buy Led bulbs for the clear taillights. I just wanted to make sure that you can see them during the daytime when its light out. Night is no problem for bulb covers but daytime they dont show. I got pulled over at 7am this morning and the cop said the next time he sees my taillights on my truck he is goin to pull me over and give me a ticket, unless i make them a little more visible. I also want to make sure that they dont burn to hot and create that burnt look in the middle of the lenses. thanks

Hey, my clear tails with led's, work awsome at night, but in the day, the led is too directional and it doesnt light up the whole housing. You can still see a red light when you brake, but it is just the bulb, so the red is like a little 1 inch circle and then the rest is white. Looks kinda cool cause it looks kinda like red eyes on the back of your truck, but i still dont think its bright enough, and i am worried about getting pulled over during the day again (pulled over twice before when i didnt have the led's). I heard that they are trying to make led's that will light up more though supposedly.

Ya, the led's are nice and red at nite, and it lights up the whole housing. One problem i had was one of the led's was a bit less red (tiny bit of orange colour too it), so i just bought another one, and it was the same colour. I couldnt figure out why, except for that one of the parts inside of the one light was a different colour than the other and maybe that made it a lighter red or something.

i guess i'll try the LED bulbs, im just worried that they'll be too hot and make the middle of the lens start to have that burned look.
