Subject: Custom tail light cover

Hi, I just bought a set of Tail Light covers for my 2003 Dodge Dakota (Quad Cab). On the directions they say to paint them. Now my question is what type of paint should I use or should I take it to an auto body shop. The color of my truck is Black perl coat.

Thanks

dupli-color offers OEM Factory Color Paint Spray that you can buy at your local Napa or have special ordered. Other local auto stores may also do it. Just go to http://duplicolor.anthonythomas.com/match/match_maker.cgi and pick out the informtion of your truck out of the drop box and it should come up with the model number that you need to tell napa which makes going there so much easier if you have the number at hand. If they don't have it in the store they can special order it and have it in a day at no extra charge from there main factory. At least they had mine in a day from there main factory. Anyways, I hope I helped.

Also, If you wanted to prime it I would use Dupli-color Filler Primer model fp101, and if you wanted to do a clear coat at the end I would use Dupli-color Clear Top coat T125. Just some suggestions, I don't know what your up against, but I am getting ready to paint some interior pieces and I am just following some instructions that a friend of mine used on his truck and it looks spectacular.
