 Subject: finding factory color codes locattion ?

Hi there. My 1990 Dak is looking for a inside redo. I need to find the factory color code in my truck to get a paint that matches the outside metalic blue on my dak. its not on the drivers door lip, nor on the vin tag I dont believe. Where else to look? Thanks

Try this! I went to autozone when I had my 96 and found it in the touch up paint code book! I couldnt find mine on my old truck either so I looked in there and there it was! I dont think there is that many shades of blue in 1990 for a dakota! Worked for me!

mine is under the hood when you lift the hood look up mine was on a sticker there. i also have a 92 mat. blue i belive the code was pc-3. but not really sure if you want i could go look . hope this helps

Ill try the hood. I know I have seen a couple stickers under there before and they had alota info on them.
From what I have seen from websites, there are like 6 shades of blue possible. Of course only one is mine so thats the tricky part.
There is nothing in my glove box. Ive looked there before for codes and stuff, and nothing.
Thanks for your help guys. Im gonna go out there in a few and check. let ya know what I find. Thanks again
