Message: Order the Belltech kit...
Spindles in the front, Shackles and Hangers in the rear.
I used this kit for my 2/4 drop and I am extremly happy with the look as well as the ride!
Just type in "Belltech Lowering kits" in a search and you'll have plenty of sites to scan over!

Message: Sure is! Doesn't look like that at the present time.. I've got most the front clip taken apart for my engine swap and upgrades to the exterior.
If you're in the market for FACTORY 15" wheels, the lower valance W/fogs, Chrome bumper, 17" tires, etc, etc... Let me know!
I'm going to be selling these items to make money and room for my new customizing ideas! If your interested in anything let me know.
Also .. If you can shoot me a picture of your truck, I'd like to see it!
See ya

I had a hard time as well tracking down a kit for my Dakota, But like I said, Belltech has it!
As for the difference 96 to 97? I'm not sure what the changes were, but I do know that the GenIII's are wider.

Message: I have a gen2 and am debating... 2/3 or 2/4???? i want a nice clean leveled out look and a little lower than stock. I am looking at the belltech kits for under 350$.... do they ride the same as stock? i like how my truck rides now.

Message: After lowering mine 2/4 it is exactly level... But I did remove the spare tire. You'd be suprised at how much weight is there!! It's been a while since I did mine so I'm not sure what you're looking at for cost... but I can tell you the ride will surly stiffen up! It won't ride bad, but it is stiffer.
Hope that helps

Message: Get the Western Chassis kit from sporttruckdirect.com. It's adjustable in the rear 3/3.5/4 so you can get the drop right where you want it. I bought that kit for my Dakota (haven't installed it yet).
