unfortunately brakedust shields are a double edged sword.....
on one hand yes they help eliminate brake dust on your rims
but on the other hand they don't let enough air into your rotors to allow for proper cooling and you'll warp your rotors FAST
what i would suggest for your problem is some elbow grease and a quality chrome polish something that is NOT abrasive but a liquid or better yet paint wax

I have had the kleen wheels dust shields installed for over 20,000 miles, and I have not had any problems. They help a lot with the brake dust. They do not eliminate it, but it now takes about 3 weeks for my wheels to start looking brown, as opposed to 3 days before. Not to mention, I really like the blacked out look. I put the sheilds on all 4 wheels for symmetry.

Here's the way I see it, whats the difference between the kleen wheels and a metal hub cap? Not much. I have never heard warped rotors blamed on a hub cap. The kleen wheels also have directional scoops cut into the sheild that vent the rotors, so they do not completely block the air flow through the wheel.

By the way, I junked the stock rotors at 20,000 miles after they warped 3 times and were turned down to the limit. I installed raybestos rotors and I have not had a problem in the last 25,000 miles. And the kleen wheels have been on since shortly after the rotors were installed.
