Message: JAGdak. There is a much cheaper route. I did this to my needles and it worked great. Take your stock needles off. Sand the paint off of the back of the needle. You will go through a light coat of white then the orange. Use a fine grit sand paper. Then repaint with your desired color and put a light coat of white on after to complete. Hope that helps. 2000 Dak R/T

Message: LOL, i knew someone else had to try that! while i was painting all of my interior stuff, i did ONE needle (tach i think) in my green. BUT, i didn't put the white after! wasn't sure if it'd work. wraithdakrt, does it work that way? do they still light up for u?? mine looks pretty cool in the day, but doesn't really glow at night(that's why i didn't do the others lol) also, wasnt sure if maybe my green was too dark? what color r yours? i'll prolly try that now tho. thanx. Peace

Since green is such a solid dark color...i would try to either dilute with water before you paint it on...or maybe mix it with white? maybe a green glaze paint instead of acrylic. no one answered my other board posting...but do these daks come with two precats and one main one? if i buy a carsound cat, i only need one right??
thanks

Message: just try it...it doesnt cost too much to have em replaced from dodgeparts.com anyhoo. worth the risk, and ya learn a lesson right? i'm probably going to do mine white within the week...i'll post on how it goes. actually..i might try a few other colors just for the heck of it...i think a luminscent grey would be interesting to see.
