 Subject: Checkmate Tonneau Cover

I was at the checkerpro.com website and I was thinking about getting a checkermate FX tonneau cover. I have two questions. The first one was whether or not these are paintable and the second is if there is anyone who has one, if they are worth it, good looking, etc. Thanks.

I've had mine for about 2-3 years?? u really CANT beat the price. (that's one reason you'll see ALOT of em at shows.) but yes they can be painted, I definitely recommend u do it too. IT IS A PAIN TO PAINT THO! it'll be expensive, especially if u want it totally smooth. but i haven't painted mine yet (too many other things to do) and it looks kinda sh8tty, cuz the factory black has faded. i think the construction of the cover looks kinda cheap, but it looks good.

Is it a fiberglass cover? I have a tonneau right now. The cloth kind. Thinking about selling my roll bar and ditchen my tonneau for a hard cover 6 ft er. Any sggestions?
What are the prices of these checkmates? Thanks

i got one a couple of months ago and im satasfied with it. and yes i think the craftsmanship on the outside could be better, but thats why your gonna pay a couple hundred buck instead of 5 or 6

Luv mine even though it is kinda generic.
The flush look can't be beat though.
The guys at the shop said if you don't paint it, to use the colored wax on it to keep it from fading.
