is shermin williams good quality paint. i can get a deal on paint job and they said that shemin williams is the paint that they are going to use and i really don't know anything about it so you guys let me know thanks

I'm sure if a production shop is shooting it they are probably using a cheaper grade of SW paint, due to costs, but all of their products are in line with, Dupont, PPG, and such. House of Kolor is about the best you can get but you get what you pay for with auto paint. Do you know what system they are using?

hehehe; aren't u glad i read this!
My paint is actually Sherwin Williams. Only because my boy's brother-in-law worked there, so i got 1.5 gallons for $50 :) but, i guess it's not bad, he delivered it to a few good custom shops in our city that used it regularly. The one thing is, my body shop guy told me that he had to use alot of it cuz it was real thin or something, took alot to cover the primer. (yeah, also, cuz his work kept crackin!!)anyway, maybe my friend reduced it too much or something. but it might've just been the paint. but as far as looks, it's fine i guess, but i haven't even wet-sanded it yet.
try, if u can, to talk to people who've gotten work done there, see if they're satisfied. S-W is good paint, but yeah, i'd prefer PPG or House of Kolor. If you're gettin body work too, that's what i'd be concerned about. If not, it's ur call; if u pay more somewhere else that uses PPG or HOK, it might be worth it. If anything, i think the only difference MIGHT be down the road. Hope this helps. Peace
