No they won't rust their made out of aluminum, their web site says they now come in a stainless steel finish also, which shouldn't rust either

Aluminum corrodes morons!!! Its a white powdery pitting crude and your aluminum dulls. You ever seen REALLY trashed polished aluminum rims?

Unless its clear coated .. It'll "rust"

I was wondering if anyone who used a gutter grill on their truck could tell me how they got the factory grill out and what they used to bolt on the new grill? Thanks.

well for a total cost of about $1.50 to do the grill, i could care less of it corrodes, it's so easy to replace, the next time that i have to do it(which may be quite a while from now, since it's already meant to be used outdoors), i'll use some clear coat on it. besides, you buy one roll of gutter guard for $2.50 and i can do 3 grilles.
Also matt, i just used 22 guage galvanized wire, so it won't rust and is plenty strong, and still is very easy to work with.

i reccommend getting the Street Scene speed grill. I know its like $200 and i also know that there's alot of fools out there (like me) who have spent the money on it but its WORTH IT! I had a gutter grill that i made myself. ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS!

first of all, u have to cut it. then find a way to stick it on! But after i was done with that process, that gutter grill looked pretty good. I took it off because i couldnt get it stick right. I used clamps and wire ties and they didnt work either.

Unless u r really needing to save cash, i reccommend the speed grill. Overall, i think it looks better.

i used gutter guard on my 01' R/T's grill...looks great. used the pimptopia way of installing it and has worked fine. on the top if u use the factory grill bolts and then use tie-ties in the middle, and on the bottom it works fine...jus leave the middle piece of the original grill in there (the part you cant see from outside) that way you have something to tie tie it to. on the bottom there is 2 supports, tie tie it to that and it stays and looks fine. as for the bottom the pimptopia way works, but i used 1/8" steel bars from lowes instead of the metal stuff they used...its a lot sturdier, and where i couldnt use that i used JB Weld...that stuff works like a charm...ill get some pics soon to show all interested...

Yeah, the grill pops right into place. It actually goes on from the front and clamps on from behind. Very easy to install. Any more questions, feel free to ask me. I can post more pics too. thanks,
Matt

I agree with Matt. I was hesitant at first to spend that much on some grill inserts, but have been very happy with them and would do it again. I've had mine on for over six months now and they still look brand new. They won't rust.
