Subject: Towing with a 4/6 Drop IP: Logged
Message: I'm asking this question the the custom
forum, since I figure you guys would know.
How bad is towing with a drop?
Me and my Friends race atv's
would this have to much wieght
on the back and cause it to
bottom out and scrub everytime I
hit a bump?
Do I need to get Air Shocks for
the back to help keep the ride height
correct?
Thanks

Message: with a 4/6 drop you will need to c-notch your frame so you will not bottom out (required whether you tow or not) so you should be fine.
if you are running low profile tires be carefull not to overload the them.
you could do air shocks to help bring up the back, but i dont think you need to. also the air shocks will suck when not towing. basicly try to tow and if you really need the air shocks get them.

Message: I have the the djm 5/3 drop without a c-notch in my dak and havn't towed but I have hauled a 600lb snowmobile in my box. I wasn't riding on the bump stops but it was pretty close, the front end also got really lite.
