98 5.2L v8 reg cab 5spd
hey i got rear-ended this morning by a Audi. damage includes lund rollpan, apc clear tails (not euros), tailgate, leer hard tonneau cover, and right fender w/ fender flare
now i can do some shopping for new parts. i didnt like the lund b/c it was flat and had a big hole for the spare tire tool. so i want a SS metal roll pan and weld it in. i might get the tailgate off ebay and my body shop guy will have to paint it so i might as well get the handle shaved. the fender and fender flare will be prolly beaten out or replaced. i didnt like the leer cover b/c it was over the rail, i really like the checkermate fx flush mount, its so sleek. and last the clear tails, this are highly illegal here and i have been pulled over for them, also the the clear stands out alot on my black truck. i really dont want to get euros but i might just have to for safety at night, im lookin into the red euros with black (carbon) sourroundings. does anybody have any prices for any of this products that i list? i just want to know if anybody is cheaper then trucksperformance.com Sorry for the long post leave a comment on what u would do...with insurance money thanks oh yea my frame and bed is fine and it didnt bust in through the cab wall, he was only going 10mph in the Audi and i drove away and he was towed and got a ticket. -Ed

I had similar situation however i only had to have the BUMPER replaced. I dont know how you guys with roll pans do it, Let this be a lesson to you, KEEP THE GAS ON!

i know what ur sayin with keeping the heavy duty stock bumper which would have prevented all the other damage. however all the force would have probably pushed my bed into my cab, instead the fiberglass roll pan absorbed it along with the tailgate and fender. i know this b/c my friend had a pickup truck and was rearended in a parking lot (5mph) and his bed went right thru his cab and the truck was not repairable. here in MI if anyone hits u from the rear its always there fault even if ur a jerk and cut them off. so all my stuff is covered and now i can experiment with other brands for my pan and lights and tonnau cover. cya

I have a 99 CC and i was rear ended 3weeks after i bought my truck.I was in mcdonalds drive-thu and he said he didnt know he was rolling.I got a very small dent in the bumper and you cant even see it inless i point it out.I dont really care because i got $550 out of it.So i did some stuff to my truck.If someone eles hits me in that bumper can i get money out of it since i didnt replace it the first time?

If you are going to get a steel roll pan, check out Sir Michaels. Their stuff is very nice.

ya wanna protect your truck? use 1/4 inch wall 6" dia. steam pipe and fabricate a bumper for it, only a M1A2 can damage it!
