Subject: question about warranty and 20"s IP: Logged
Message: guys I have a 2002 4x4 dodge dakota club cab and want to put 20"s on my truck what tire size would be best, to not mess up the mph gage and also would it mess up my warranty in any way. I just got off the phone with the dealership and they said it could mess up the transmission warranty but they really don't no.

Message: theres a law that aftermarket productcs cant void the warranty unless the dealership can prove that the product caused the problem, so of course the dealer discourages the use of aftermarket products but really it doesnt matter

Message: It might affect a brake warranty if the new wheel/tire combo is heavier than the original. Cannot see how it would affect the transmission, especially if you get the same diameter tires.
The best size tires to get depends on what size you have now. Please list your current size tire.
