Hey guys this spring I am getting ready to custom my bed. I am planning on a fully carpeted bed with benches on the side and a stereo system at the front twoards the cab. Has anyone done this before? I know I have seen a black w/ yellow highlighted dakota that has this same setup minus the stereo.
What I am wondering is how I go about securing these benches to the side of the bed. I know I don't want to drill into the bed. But it seems like it will be neccesary to secure the benches. If anyone has done this before it would be great if you could post some suggestions about hte procedure.

Hey phil..jeff here..(black n yellow dakota)..i have a sheet of plywood on the floor of the bed..tightly cut out around the wheelwells..then u can frame out the boxes..screw them to the plywood...i have pictures of the building process..ill scan them n try to mail them to ya..if you have a different e mail you would rather them go to..lemme know..
