Subject: M3 Mirrors- wiring help please?
IP: Logged

Message:
I got the manual M3 Mirrors with the blue led turn signals on them like everyone else here has from Ebay. I installed them today like most people said they did except I have run into a problem. When I first started I ran the blue wire into the #14 fuse which is for the park lamps and the leds worked. I then proceeded to connect them to a parking lamp wire and they still worked. After that I wired the white wire to a turn signal wire and when I hit the turn signal it worked. Now after that I turned the park lamp on and it didnt work, but the turn signal did. Everthing is connected and grounded, I triple checked. My question is why wont the leds come on when I have my park lamp on, when I have everything connected? Also the blue leds are pretty blue, are these legal?

THANKS in advance

Ted,

I have the power ones, but i had the same problem and posted it on here...i havent heard anything good myself about it...someone said to run the wires directly to the parking lights themselves and tap into those wires, but after spending an entire weekend ripping up the dash, i havent had the inspiration to rewire them. I also had the same concerns about them being on when my lights are on with them being "blue", so that is another reason i havent pursued rewiring them to work wiht the lights yet. Keep me posted if you hear anything.

Thanks
Jeff
