Subject: Thinking of painting my Dakota

Message:
Hey everyone , first off let me say that I paint cars for a living so I`ll be doing the work myself , so I`m not woried about cost or a hack job.

When I got my 02 QC 4WD Dakota a little over a year ago , I wanted the dark blue pearl paint , but they would have had to order one and I didn`t have time to wait , as I already sold my other Dakota. So now I have a black one , and I reallllly don`t like black cars...I mean owning one , they look awesome if they belong to someone else that has the time and effort to keep the up , but unfortunately I don`t. No matter what I do to it , it still looks like crap in a few days. So , with that being said , I`m thinking of painting mine a different color or doing some graphics or two-tone of some kind.

If I paint it the factory blue pearl , I`m afaraid it will look to "factory".
If I go with something to off the wall I think it will look to "macco-ish"
One thing I have come up with is going with the deep purple they use to paint them. That would be easy to do over black and it might be just enough to look stock and custom together.

Give me some opinions , as I`m getting ready to do something pretty soon. Maybe someone has thought of something good that I haven`t.

Thanks , and sorry for the long post.
