Subject: M3 mirror help!?!?! IP: Logged
Message: 3 wires coming out of the mirrors (black=ground; blue=lights; white=blinkers)
Let me give you my layout first:
Ground (black): routed through the door and connected to the ground bolt behind the kick panel of each side of the cab respectively.
Lights (blue): routed through the door...left and right were brought together to one wire and pigtailed into the light switch to the black/yellow wire.
Blinkers (white): routed through the door..both brought to the steering column...tested the wires to find the left signal wire and right signal wire..pigtailed respectively to the corresponding side.
Dilemma. Blinkers work fine...however..the lights only work if the blinkers are disconnected. If the blinkers are connected i have no lights.
Does anyone out there have any input???
Thanks
Jeff

Message: hey jeff
i work at a stereo shop and am around this kind of stuff all day. you might want to try connecting them to the wires coming off the front corners. they have 3 wires also and if i'm not mistaking, should be a ground, light, and blinker. you might want to test them first though. i have a 98 dak with side markers connected the same way. they turn on with my lights and blink alternately with the blinkers. hope this info is useful. :)
