what are the widest tires you can fit on stock 97 dak rims? i think there 8 inches wide, cause im looking at some bf goodrich 285s and was wondering if you guys think they would fit, let me know thanx

I wouldn't go any wider than 12.5". Many of us here have 12.5" wide tires on 8" wide wheels. I don't know of anyone going any wider though. A true 285 tire is 11.2" wide, so yes it will fit fine.

If you are looking at the 285/75/16's then yes they'll fit, I've got them on my truck. I think that's equivalent to about 11.5" (?), 97_blk_dak has 33x12.5
