 Subject: Question about gear selector indicator..

Hey guys. I just got my new gauges in for my Gen II. and while i was installing them, i had to disconnect the gear selectort wire. but, when i went to put it back together, it is off by one gear according to the indicator needle. What might be the cause of this? it shows it in reverse when it's in park. How can i correct it? i looked at the little cable, and i couldn't see how to correct it. Am i going to have to take it to the dealer? thanks for your help guys.......... i took pics of them, but they are on a different computer. i will post them in a briefcase asap.
