 Subject: Headlight and Foglight Bulb Upgrades

With all the brands out their to upgrade my Headlight and Foglight Bulbs with I don't know which one to choose. I want the white look like HID but don't want to spend the money on the HID conversion kits. So:
1) What brands are the best? And where can you buy that brand?
2) What wattage can I use without having to upgrade the wiring?
3) Does anyone have pics of their upgraded bulbs at night?
Please help. Thanks.
