I have a 2000 regular cab, and i wanna get the
windows tinted. If there is anyone who knows
about the process, how much it costs to do all
three windows, or pro's/con's please let me

Hey trice..i got some advice for ya...you should ask officer friendly...before he becomes officer unfriendly..lol..i got a ticket this past weekend...and im a f.f....lol..but serious..check out your state laws first...N.J.= illegal

thanks for the heads up dakotajeff i'm in
southern california and i guess that it is illegal
so thanks. As for drew i just checked the laws
and it looks like it is legal up to 35% in the
front and there is no limit in the back.

i have a 2000 regular cab and i live in michigan, i got 35% on the sides and limo on the back. ive only gotten pulled over for it 1 time and the officer really didnt care that much about it. i got the tint job done in canada for like $175 in canadian money so it costed like 100 bucks american

hey, i got 5% on my doors, 2% on the back window, 15% on my sunroof and a 5% eight inch stripe on my upper windshield. ive been pulled over twice in the last 2 years but i got off both times cuz i have a doctors note:)

i live in tennessee and i have 15% on my front windows, and a 15% stripe across the top of my windshield. i haven't been pulled yet, but i probably will now since i said that.

blakDak how does 35% look on the sides??? Do you have any pictures? That is the legal limit in my state also (MO) and I was gonna go 35 on the sides and 5% on the back but I still want it to be dark on the sides.

In my state (LA) 40% is the limit. I had a reading of 14% on my windows and got a ticket... Would have costed $165 if I didn't get it dropped.. so be careful b/c it can cost you...more than it's worth.

Tenn. state law is 35% on the front door windows, and tint only down to the ASI line on the windshield all other windows can go as dark as you like on trucks. on cars it is 35% all the way around.
What part of Tn. are you ?

I have 5% on all 5 windows(cc) and i'm going to get another layer of 5% on the back window.5% all the way around got pulled over once no ticket.

also had illegal exhast,when i get pulled over i just suck up big time and most of the time i get off with no ticket,oops i better not bragg about that cause with my luck next time i will get a ticket.

when you get a CLub Cab new dont the windows come tinted? and the driver/pass are clear?
am i right?
i just ordered my truck and the first thing i want to do i tint the windows. i want to go 5% all the way around. do they just add another layer to the back? say add another 35% to make it darker? or is the factory tint removable?

The quarter windows come tinted,prolly about 35% and no tint on back window or driver or passenger window.factory tint is removable,and you can put 2 layers of tint on to add to the one already on to make it darker but there will be no warrenty or anything,thats what i'm doing is having 2 layers or 5% to make it really dark i dont think i'll have any problems with it coming off.

I have a 99 dakota club cab and the 2 back windows on mine are 20%tint and that is what i had the other 3 windows tinted.At night you cant see in the windows at all.I live in indiana and you cant have it under 35% for all windows.I have had 4 cops behind me and looked like they were runing my plates in,but since you cant see in my windows they didnt know it was a teenager driving i didnt get pulled over.The truck is in my dads name and hes 61.Does anyone know how i can put my pics up here?

Just did the '98 Dak CC-SLT doors with Charcoal 20%, matches perfectly to the rear pop outs.. Dak is White, has the black strip between the doors and the rear popouts, looks good. Looks like its the way the factory should have done it.
The topper on the back also has the same 20%, looks great all around.
