Subject: carpet in a tool box?
IP: Logged

Message:
alright, about a week and a half ago i put a toolbox on my dak. sometimes if i take a hard turn i hear what i have in there sliding around and banging against one of the ends and quite frankly, i would appreciate it if my air compressor and other things back there didn't get thrown around and broken. do any of you know if it would work out fine to lay some carpet in teh bottom? would this fix my problem of sliding for the most part?

might be a little pricy but you could have bed liner sprayed in, they will put the stuff anywhere. I had z-liner sprayed in the bed and nothing slides around at all. they would probably give you a good price on a toolbox cause there's not very much area. seems like carpet wouldn't help much. just a thought.

Look for drawer liner at your local home center. Also can be found as tool box liner. It comes in multiple colors and is a rubber mesh that comes in a roll. It is made to keep stuff from sliding. Here's a link to what i'm talking about... http://store4.yimg.com/I/sevensaturdays_1705_947936
