 Subject: Shifter Knob

This may sound like a stupid question but how do you remove the sifter knob on a 99 V6 5sp? I have tried just about everything and the solution is probibly vary simple but im just missing it. thank you

Pop off the cap that has the shift pattern on it with a little screwdriver and underneath it is a nut

The cap is a little hard to pry off if you don't want to dammage the rubber piece. The plastic cap actally goes out at the bottom to hold it in place kind of like:
_|=|_
It's obviously not that big of pieces going out to the side, but you get the idea.

Yeah, i chipped a couple little pieces tryin to get mine off (still not off by the way).
