Subject: Removed decals, have question.
IP: Logged

Message:
Hello,
I have a black 2K qc 4x4 sport that I've been driving around for the past 2.5 years. Last weekend, I decided to remove the cheap looking white stickers. It looks great, but in direct sunlight, I can see a silhouette(sp?) of the spot where the sticker used to be. Is there anything I can put on to help blend things?
Also, I added the chrome, raised, 4x4 symbol from the new Ram tailgate to my own. Looks neat.

Anyway, any help would be great.
Thanks!

The best thing you can do is strip the wax, clay bar it and wax it up again. The clay bar will remove a lot of the oxidation from the surface of your paint. Other than that, not much can be done outside of repainting. The U/V rays have already taken their toll.

Thanks MightyDak. Also, do you think the look of the paint will eventually blend over time? Or will I still see the 'shadow' of the old sticker years down the road.

Not too good with paint...thanks.

Over time it will eventually disappear since it will be exposed to the sun.
