Subject: messed up dak IP: Logged
Message: i just recently hit a deer with my 2000 dak sport. (worst nightmare come true). my front bumper is unsavable, along with the grill, and there's a dent in my hood, and the little bastard got 1 clear corner. insurance says i can order aftermarket parts, as long as its cheaper than stock, so any of you guys got any ideas, let me know.

Message: I am the perfect person to help you with this -- although I am not too terribly proud to make that claim.
Best deal on a bumper can be found on eBay from this guy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1872692990
That bumper includes the bumper bracket welded right to it, so you save almost an extra $100 right there. This bumper is actually a nicer chroming than the stock one. The pieces that comes with it are the:
3 - Front Bumper, Bumper & Components, Face Bar, Support (both)
and
the flat ones on each end, but I don't have the listing of it's name with me. It's a damn good deal...
So, you have a sport, so what, this is a good deal.
The grill can also be found on eBay, but it's actually a pretty spendy item and hard to find. You can have this one painted remember. Expensive for plastic..
You'll need the bracket that connects your grille and grille, I think that's around $60 list -- get it from your local dealer along with any hood latches or strikers you might have gotten smashed.
You can get a stock used valence (sport or SLT (grey, ick!)) for pretty cheap, or you can pick up a SS genI for pretty cheap and have it painted. That's what I have. Talk to Randy Pile ar premeir automotive if you're interested.
Depending on the size of the dent, you usually will always need a new one, they are hard to save. Since you saved quite a bit with the bumper and valence, you can buy a Reflexxion cowl, or anther scoop for around the same price. You can find a regular hood or used one for pretty cheap too. If you're getting it replaced, you can consider a neat looking aftermarket one, I mean, why not?
Besides the bumper, grille, hood, and valence, there isn't much else you can get aftermarket or even find for very cheap.
Any else in specific all mashed up?

Message: But really check into that bumper, it comes with several of the brackets already welded on and saves you some cash.
