Message: Do not use engine enamel, use a metal rust paint that doesn't need a primer. You can get this paint at your home depot.
For more info and pics check my site.

Message: I painted mine with high heat engine paint from Wal-mart and mine has lasted for 3 months now with no signs of rust, chips or bubbles. I put 5 coats on the calipers and 4 on the drums.

Message: Hey guys here's pics of mine. I used metal rust paint and a paint brush, so there's no masking off areas which makes for a quicker and easier job. Plus it only needs one coat to cover.

Message: hit it with steel wool then paint it. i used high heat engin paint and it has lasted for a year. through a harsh winter. just cover the rotor with a towel and spray. the engine enamel has a sharp shot if u are carefull. the drums don't even bother masking just spray it all.

Message: Well I forgot about the whole getting dark earlier thing so I didn't have enough time to paint anything. When I put on the Stainless Steel Brakelines I'll paint the calipers. I think I'm going to go w/ a light silver color.
Probably use some steelwool to scratch it up abit and then use brake cleaner to clean off the metal. Then spary on 3 or so coats.
