Message: I think the Nitto NT555 Extreme Performance are the best tires i have ever bought, and the best i ever rode on in any car or truck. For performance i don't think you really can get a better tire, except maybe Pirelli P-Zero, but those are like $600 a tire. The Nitto are reasonable price for what you get. I can easily take turns 15-20 mph faster than i used to be able to. I bought 255/45/18, and they are on 18X8 Enkei RT6. Just my two cents.

Message: i used to have nitto 555's on my 17's (245/45ZR17) they rode like crap. the ride was rough. then i installed BFG comp T/A's and instantly felt a difference in ride quality (for the better)
now im running a mich XGT-Z4 255/35ZR20 and the 35 series mich rides better than the 45 series nitto. and handling is MUCH better than the nitto.
i also wore out the nitto in one year. i have had the mich for a year now and they look new still (the worst tire has 8/32 and the best still has 10/32 of tread left on it)

Message: you cant really compair the nitto to the radial T/A because the nitto is a performance tire, and the BFG is not. But if you compair the comp T/A to the nitto, the BFG is the clear winner

Message: The BFG RADIAL TA is a performance tire and had been since it came about in the early 70's It has not changed much since then except for a change in tread pattern in the late 70's or early 80's. They were the first performance radial available in 70 or 60 series. It's just that they have been around so long that young folks (I saw your age on another post) just assume they aren't a performance tire. See www.tirerack.com for more info. Tire Rack lists them under street performance tires. Besides you chose to ignore my statement that they are a jap tire designed for japcrap. The comp TA was originally designed for auto-crossers running camaros and trans-am firebirds and such and was sold in a shaved version only during the first year it was on the market(that is what their ads used to say). The Radial TA is for street use.

Message: the highest speed rating that a radial TA has is a "v" yes it is techicaly a performance tire, but compaired to a directional tire with a "Z" ratting the radial TA dosent stand a chance.
how many performance cars come with the radial TA from the factory?
and the comp TA has been replaced with the g-force TA line.

Message: I like my RS/A. I have almost 30k on them with little wear. I have never spun them either.
Going to get Kuhmo's next, heard nothing but good about them. Oh, I mean for the stang.. Will more than likely go with Nitto's in 275/50/17 if I ever wear out the ones on my Dak.. prob sell it before then.. then I will be gettting 31x11.50x16 Thornbirds! =]
