Message: anyone know if you can change the bulb that lights up behind the gauges? or is the color determined by a film on the gauges themselves?
this isnt anything serious, but i just picked up some new gauges and because im bored i thought i would try and change the color of the display.
I'd go crazy if I cared!

Message: What you could do is get some candied paint and dip them into the paint and that would change the color of the light from the bulb. I think Testors Model paint is one that you could use and it is pretty inexspensive. Hope this helps out your boredom.

You might want to do a search or start your own subject thread!

Message: I was wondering this myself, so I took out the gauges and realized that all the bulbs behind the gauges are white. It is the film on the gauge face that shows the color. So I bought a set of reverse indiglo white faced gauges that have a color switch that you can change from a bright blue color to a more greenish color. I think the new gauges look really good. I will try to borrow a digital camera again so that I can add some pics of what it looks like at night with both colors.
