anyone know if you can change the bulb that lights up behind the gauges? or is the color determined by a film on the gauges themselves?

this isnt anything serious, but i just picked up some new gauges and because im bored i thought i would try and change the color of the display.

I'd go crazy if I cared!

What you could do is get some candied paint and dip them into the paint and that would change the color of the light from the bulb. I think Testors Model paint is one that you could use and it is pretty inexspensive. Hope this helps out your boredom.

What does your parking brake have to do with the light bulbs that light up your guages???

You might want to do a search or start your own subject thread!

I was wondering this myself, so I took out the gauges and realized that all the bulbs behind the gauges are white. It is the film on the gauge face that shows the color. So I bought a set of reverse indiglo white faced gauges that have a color switch that you can change from a bright blue color to a more greenish color. I think the new gauges look really good. I will try to borrow a digital camera again so that I can add some pics of what it looks like at night with both colors.
