Message: Well this is my thought's on a GT wheel going on a Air Bag Steering Column.
1. The Air Bag light would always be on. So you would have to take the light bulb out.
2. If your Insurance ever found out it would go up or they would drop you because the SRS or Air Bag is a Discount and considered a safety device.
3. If under warranty it would void it.
That's my take on this....
Don't get me wrong I would love to have a Grant Steering Wheel in my truck and I have had one before on my 78 Chevy P/U before I got my Dakota.
But I don't want to bother with it.

Message: Just use a steering wheel puller before inspection time and remount the factory wheel:) It doesn't seem it would be against the the law(maybe in some states) altering a safety restraint system in your own vehicle, but it certainly does make the vehicle less safe and could cause a problem with your insurance company if you were in an accident. Those leather wrapped billet wheels sure do look sweet though.

Message: Keith: Could you also send me the details, and pics would be great if you have them. Where I live if you rebuild a salvage vehicle for the road it does not require Air Bags to be replaced, to pass an inspection.

Message: From my understanding of the law is it is not illegal to remove the steering wheel and installing a aftermarket one ITS WHEN YOU SELL IT that you could fall into a legal action against you for tampering with a vehicle safety device. Just my 2c worth

Message: I would if I could, but I use Yahoo for storing my pictures and you cannot link pics from the album as Yahoo blocks it, a real PITA since we are always posting pics on this website. I would be happy to forward the pics to anyone that can post though. I have to get a service that allows linking of pics for posting, anyone have any recommendations?
I checked out ur pics, nice Dak. How hard was the Indiglo dash to install and does it have good day and night visibility? Saw they go less than $100 on ebay but with no instructions.

Message: As far as the yahoo album pics go, you can post them here. Just right click on the picture in the album and view its properties. Use the address in the properties to post here. I did this for one of mine.
The indiglo gauges were not to hard to install. I followed the directions on Eric Giblock's web page to install them. His directions are much better than the universal instructions that came with the kit. The only thing that is really a pain is getting the needles back on in exactly the right place. I had to drive around several times and then readjust until I got them on correctly. I don't have very good pics of them, but they have much better day and night visibility than the stock gauges. They also came with a color switch and dimmer that I have mounted below the ash tray. I got mine off of ebay as well. Here is a link to the same kind that I bought. Reverse Indiglo Gauges
