Message: The emblems all come off with a heat gun and floss. They're stickers and the front one you can just get a new hood eventually. Those are easy. My antennae got done at the same time as some other stuff so it cost me around 75 dollars or so for a job I can not see or even feel where it used to be. Not a bad deal I think. Hell, I can still get reception just fine when I am in town or in direct view of a tower.
You're going to have to get some pictures of them door handles once your project is done. I would love to do mine and some pictures and opinions would be awesome.
Are you blending the entire tailgate or are you relocating the handle to the inside?

Message: Hey D, this is kind of a random question, but when you had the bed hit in the accident, did it shift the bed or twist it at all? My bed was hit too before i got the truck, and i had damage in the exact same area on my cab. it only hit the drivers side of the cab and i think it has left it permantly twisted. It was like that when i bought it though, so i cannot really tell if it was from an accident, or if it is not sitting on the frame exactly perfect. Did yours crack or anything from the accident??

is still crooked, my best guess is there is
frame damage.
xplikt::: I dunno, I hope I dont find out the hard

soon as I get it back, I think the back window
pops off pretty easily, if I am unlucky enough to

Nice to see you're relocating it. I always thought smoothing an entire tailgate with the bed and roll pan was kind of useless.
You know I am expecting lots of pictures right. (notice that wasn't a question ;)

been in there since late august, way too long

I had the poppers installed on the driver side
only, that way both doors dont pop open at the
same time(alarm has only one option button)
I'm having the truck painted with High end
German black paint thats used on all the
expensive sports cars (porsche etc.) so when
I get it back, it will be BLACK, none of this
dupont chrysler sh!te....hopefully the pictures
will be crisp enough to show the color.

Message: I payed $600 extra for all the work. $200 for
shaving, $150 for door poppers, and $250 for
materials (expensive paint) but that covered
repainting the whole truck, welding the
rollpan, relocating the handle and shaving the
door handles. this was on top of the $4000+
insurance quote(so I'm sure they squeezed
some of the labor costs out of that)...the funny
thing is, the insurance company quoted them
to paint the inside of the bed!? I told them "its
a truck, paint the truck, I'm gonna be throwin
things in the bed as soon as I get it back." I'm
sure there were other small costs here and
there, but my brother knows the guys at the
body shop and he said he would help out.
