Well I did it, I removed the badging from my Dak.
I took the "quad cab" badges off the back posts and removed the "DAKOTA SLT" from the sides. They came off pretty easily. Put some wax on afterwords. Looks alot cleaner now! I used a hairdryer and a plastic squeegie (pampered chef brand) some goo gone and simple green and a little "elbow grease".

I never understood that quad cab badge. If my truck would have had that, it would have came off as soon as I had a chance. Does the general public really need that information? After all it has 4 doors.
When you get pics of it, please send me one. I've thought about taking the badges off my doors. My truck is just like yours only Patriot Blue. (Or is your truck like mine? ponder that one)

Speaking of who's made before who. I took a lot at a sticker under my SLT bumper and it says it was inspected back in 06.2001. Dodge must stock pile these things like mad if mine's a 2002.

OK, OK Here is a pic of my QC. Notice the big black "QUAD CAB" badge is not on the rear cab post nor is the "DAKOTA SLT" on the door anymore

I kind of like the Dakota SLT on the door. But to each his own. I did take off the huge Dodge and 4x4 stickers off the tailgate a few weeks after I had it. Just didn't feel the need for those huge advertisements.
