Use Factory OEM switches or you'll compromise the resale value of the vehicle. The motors and control arms can be aftermarket, but anything that is going to be visible should be Factory. I understand that this is not to terribly difficult it just takes a day or two to do it right.

I thought I could do this one a while ago (I have a '99 dakota). I had all the parts from an auto wrecker, but then discovered once I got the door panel off that none of the electrical supply was there! I stripped off the interior kick panel trim and discovered there wasn't a lead anywhere to be found. Short of taking apart the entire dash and/or getting creative with electrical splicing, I'd stay away from it. But then again, maybe you're more technically competent when it comes to electrical componants than I am!

What year is your truck? I have a 2000 Slt and i put aftermarket door locks in w/keyless entry. All the wiring was there for the factory stuff. So when I put power windows in I can make it loo factory. Also if you make it look clean it wont compormise the resale value. Have Fun it wasnt that hard for me, one night (4 hours) with all the tools. Took so long because the phone kept ringing.

I got my power lock set from JC Whitney. Paied like 39 bucks or something cant remember the part num but all I did was look up my make and model and there it was.
