If you are going to ge the Checkerpro tonneau I would have them paint it. I didn't cause I know a local HotRod Painter that is known for beautiful paint and Flames. He help me but it was a PAIN IN THE A**. They say it is paint ready but it is no where near. I had to spend about $200 in paint and prep material. It turned out awesome but you have to scuff, tape off outside, prime inside, sand, tape off inside, prime outside with self etching primer, sand, prime whole thing, sand, wet sand 400, wet sand 600, seal the edges with paintable sealer, paint and clear. It took about 3 days of work and frustration and that seal sh*t sucks. Let them do it. Its worth it unless you want trouble.
P.S. ~ I have already gotten 10-15 compliments on it in about 8 days. I love how it turned out and how it looks. It is definately the best lookin out there but is barely worth the time and effort.

If i was buying the cover, I would have a pro. paint it. This would ensure that the paint matches perfectly. Its pretty tough to get something to match pefectly when the truck its going on has never even been seen by the painter. Also, sometimes products get slightly damaged while being shipped. Then you would have to pay to have it painted twice!

I thought about that too. How would they match my paint. Take your truck to a local paint supplier and have them take a "picture" of the paint. Its not actually a picture but it gives them a paint code. You can send that with your order or contact them on the phone and let them know.
