Subject: Hood pins?
IP: Logged

Message:
Im thinking about getting the SS grilles for my truck and I was thinking about how the hood works post installment. I was wondering instead of having to reach up under the bottom of the bumper to pop the hood if it would be easier just to mount some hood pins. How difficult would this be and would it be worth the trouble? Im running a shaker hood too so would this make it easier or more difficult to set something like this up?

You can rig up something like this.....

I have a how-to on it on my web site....

Hope this helps......although i think the hood pin idea is cool but i'd like to see it done first before I did it.

Thnx for the help bro, Yeah pretty any type of device that would help me getting around crawling underneath the truck would work.

Im not a lazy slob or anything but just thought something alittle more convinient than how SS suggests to do it would be nice as far as my reasoning goes.

I thought about the same thing when i put my homr brew Grill insert in...luckly I found this web site in time and found out how to do it....

Now My only problem is telling the dealer each time i go in on " How to open the hood w/o the regualr hood release"

Last time I forgot to tell them the tech put a BIG screwdriver to try and get around it and peeled all the paint off.......complained and they paid for a new can of spray paint....

Just be carefull and tell them first.

Just shoot me an email if you have any questions..
