I have a set of the stock chrome wheels for a 94 Dakota. This may sound stupid, but how do the center wheel cap covers stay on the wheel after the lugs are in? Anyone know?

They just snap into place, If the tabs on the back of the cap breaks off you will lose them.I am missing one, and one is loose.
