Subject: Removal of overhead console IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dakota 4x4 club cab...eventual modifications will include several aux. Hella lights up front mounted on a pre-runner bar and a light bar mounted on a bed cap with up to 8 other Hella lights (total of about 10). What I'm looking to do is make a custom rocker switch panel that will mount in my overhead console probably where the useless sunglass holder is. I'd like to somehow mount an aluminum plate that would fit perfectly into this area. My concern is how would I wire everything to the overhead console and how do I remove it? looks a little tricky and I don't want to screw up the electronics for my onboard computer. Ideally it would be nice to make all of this wireless and I know there are some kits out there for it...any thoughts?

Message: I love my sunglass holder. One of the better features of the truck. The garage door holder may not be in need for most of us. Good luck with your modifications.
