Reker,
i dont have an email address right now but if you can call me tomorrow evening (sept 14) i can get you address and you can get mine as well.... phone is 817-281-7847.

youngin....
i just painted my outside mirrors to match my truck. i followed the sames steps as i did my dash but i put a little more clear coat on them. Its a perfect match except at certain angles the grain in the mirror makes it look a little darker. At our last dfw meet down here all the guys thought it was done professionally.

good luck!

Can anyone tell me though about my paint color, do they make a color that matches my silver? I tried their website, but that didn't help me at all.

Intense, do you have any pictures of your mirrors? I want to paint mine, but I am not sure cause I wonder if my mirrors are bit large to be painted...

i have the stock mirrors (no pics yet) but they are the smaller ones (not the 6x9). If you looked at DupliColor and they dont have it then the only place to get it is at the dealer. They do sell cans of spray paint but they are about half of the size of a regular can and cost $10-15 a piece.

youngin',

someone correct me if I'm wrong but your paint is called Driftwood. You might look at Bernds profile or Speedtweaks.net to see if it's posted anywhere.

Hey all! I'm wanting real bad to change my interior color to black. Would painthing the necessary plastic( Nasty tan now) be a better solution than trying to find a grey/black interiored truck(black probably didn't exist as an option in 92). How hard is it? You guys act like it's easy but did you take your dash apart and how/where can you find headliner's, carpet ect?
Thanks for any help.

there are vinyl paints out there for painting door trim and such. My brother used some to paint over his blueish door trim in his 83 blazer. It looked really good until it all peeled off. He didnt prep the door panels... just painted them while they were on the truck. If you took all the pieces off and cleaned them real well i think it would work good

Do u have AOLIM?? if so, my SN is REK09, u can IM me whenever. Also, how long have ur mirrors been painted??.. i was talking to some guy yesturday and he was telling me not to paint my interior b/c the sun and heat will get to it and cause it to peel. So i said, even if i put 4 coats of clear coat on it??.. and he said yeah, it doesnt matter, it will still peel.. I REALLY hope hes wrong. But even With this info, BS or not, im still going to paint my interior, and if it starts to f#ck up, ill just TWeed it. but anyways, how long have ur mirrors been painted?? and how did u take them off??... I have the 6X9 Mammoths on my truck and acidentally got wax on them and now they are ugly b/c they have white spots on them.

my mirrors have only been painted for a couple of weeks. I think that guy is kinda full of sh!t and kinda right.... if you paint it right and prep it good it will stay on there like any other automotive paint. the dupli-color is high quality. Look at intense99dak... his stuff has been painted for awhile and still looking good, just ask him what he thinks. The heat wont cause it to peel because its been 95+ degrees here in texas and i have mine painted for about three weeks... if that isnt enough heat i dont know what is. The clear coat should protect it anywayz. I removed them by first taking off the inside door panels... then there are like three screws to remove from the inside and then just pull it off (undo wires if you have powered mirrors). To get the glass out i just pulled... but accidently broke one. oops!

btw... if i am not home just leave a message.
