I am in the process of turning my 97 SLT into the FIRST R/T 10 using a viper V10 and a sniper body kit from cervinis auto designs. I have over six pages of mods planned including, a Supercharger, And Twin Turbos, anyone who has any advise, please E-mail me @ jasonnilsson@hotmail.com.

I'm sure it could be done on some vehicle, but how are you going to fit it all under the hood of a Dakota. Hot Rod Mag. barely squezzed a 528 hemi. I don't think there is enough room to fit both TT and a SC. I hope you plan on putting in a new tranny, new rearend, and all new suspension to handle all that.

youre gonna need one hell of a shoe horn my friend. if youve ever sat in a viper, then you know the drivers seat has to be offset to house all 10 cylinders. id just buy the viper. good luck to you though. and good luck to BigRedDak with that whole hamster thing!

i seen a dealership parts truck this weekend that had a v10 emblem. just wondering if they made v10 dakotas cause the one that i saw looked stock but it didn't sound like a 8.

about halfway down this page is supposedly a stock v10 dakota. not sure if the guy is telling the truth cause ive never heard of the GT/p2t, which he claims only 10 were made

YES, that is an actual truck. it is made by a company that advertised in the Dupont Registry, they were called gtp or gtr motorsports or something. you supply your Dakota plus $47,000 and they build it for you but from what i remember i dont ever remember them putting a viper engine in it though.

No that GT-P2T was discovered a pharse... It was on the Jack Yates, Dakota R/T board about a year ago. We read more into and studied the picture a little bit... If you notice there is only smoke comming from one tire, so that means the guy took the time to put a Viper V10 together but forgot about that damn'ed posi traction. Notice also he goes onto say that Dodge only produced 10 of these trucks. The reason thats so hard to beleive is the fact that all of us know good and well there has never been a mopar assigned the title "GT". Ya notice on that site they say that this "Chad" claims that dodge made 10 of them. So that means Truckworld online didnt even know if he was telling the truth.
I guess its up to you if you want to beleive or not.

And how do u suppose ur going to be able to get that much horse to the ground little alone drive it when the roads are wet. Ur crazy it would be a waste to turbo and supercharge that engine cause it already has more then enough power

I believe it was mentioned many months ago that there is a guy that claims to have one of these trucks and then got the Hennessey Twinturbo upgrade one way or another and he claims the fastest street truck in the world but with no timeslips. Even if you get it done, you'll have a really expensive sit and spin.

ok, i knew i saw that truck somewhere before. it is a 2000 dakota GP/R built by jason godsil of godsilperformance.com they do not have them on there website anymore as its only GM cars now but im looking at the original advertisment in an old Dupont Registry (SEPT 2000) according to the ad you picked what you wanted as far as paint, seats, wheels, hood. you could have 2wd, 4wd or awd versions and the package could be added to dakotas, durangos or rams. the original engine was SC'd and hp was around 400-425. price was $47000 plus the cost of the vehicle and limited numbers were to be built. whether they built any other than the prototype i have no idea, but i knew i saw that truck before so whoever posted it on truckworld is a big fat liar, PERIOD!

Dang, a friend of mine has a 408 stroker and is getting more HP than that and has a LOT less in it.

No, New Castle, the kid who had the R/T on Nitrous from Knightstown had a myserious "fire" a long time ago. If that's who your talking about. They started with near identical trucks though. Intense Blue CCs, here the one I'm refering to is here. He's the one at the top of the page.

Yep thats the one. Ok, Knightstown is where he purchased it I see now. I was just curious because I got my truck at Khalo dodge in Knightstown.
It was funny the day I found it, it was an amberfire CC R/T, there because there was another larger dodge dealer closer to Greenfeild down highway 40 and the guy there said "Well there was a guy here a month ago and I had to go all the way to Michigan to find him an amberfire CC". The funny thing about it was that my truck had sat on the lot at khalo's for almost 5 months before I bought it.
You guys ever hangout and cruise down there?

People cruise in NC every weekend. I typically don't. Which one was it. I'm assuming the one in the pic. I'm not sure where he bought the original one but this one he got in the big R/T recall a few years back. So it actually came through goodwins.
The one that burned I can't help but think he got it from Russ Dellen. That's where he worked.

I graduated with the kid who "owns" the one in topeka. Nice truck. He's got a sub 13 second truck. Just can't get everything together to show it. He's had problems with the wheels spinning in the slicks and also hasn't gotten good weather. 90 degree heat doesn't work with a truck to well.

If you want to do something original.. try getting a quad-turbo on it.. although anything after twin gets rather pricey... and there wouldnt be much room with a viper engine

Whats the sense in runnin 4 turbos.. an engine can only handle so much boost.. say if you only wanna put 12lbs of boost on 4 turbos.. thats only 3lbs of boost per turbo.. seems like kind of a waste.. some ppl i tell ya..
