The MTX speakers really hit hard. Remember, those boxes are made for those speakers. But if you really want other speakers, make sure they are compatible with the air space in the box. JL's sound great but for the best sound (hardest hitting) try getting subwoofers made for small boxes.

I kind of like MTX. I have a 10in sub that is almost 10 years old in my Shadow , and it hits as hard as ever! I had two,but like an idiot , I ran them full range for about 6 months, frying the voice coil in one. I had Stereo Express give me the inside dimensions and made the box myself. The car is a lot easier to work in than the truck, I believe. No one sits in the trunk anyway!

I don't think the W6 JL's will fit in the t-form, the magnet is too big. You should measure the length you have to spare in the T-form and measure some different subs to see if they fit. If you ask me, you made a mistake, the Thunder6000s work good with that box.

look at the subs they put in the thunderform...they say what there mounting depth is...then go to jlaudio.com and find some 10" subs with the same or less mounting depth.
