Subject: Height diff. b/w sport and r/t wheels IP: Logged
Message: I know this guy that has 4 polished American Racing Thrusters size 17x8 with dunlop sport rubber. He tells me that they are the same diameter/height as stock r/t wheels. The problem is I do not know that since i have the sport wheels (P255/65R15) which i measured to be roughly 27". Just wondering if there is a big difference between the height of the sport wheels and the r/t wheels.
thanks

Message: I think there should be no more than about an inch or so difference between the two.

Message: What is the conversion for Canadian $ 1800 in USD would be a little high for used rims and tires.

Message: I got a set of four Thrusters with 255/55/17
Michelin Pilot LTX with 3000 miles off of Ebay
for $900 shipped so that price seems high.
The wheels look great though!

Message: I have 17X8 Centerline Trident's with Dunlop Sport Rover GTX 255/55/17's. The tire/wheel combo will come out around the same as the stock R/T setup. Im also running a 2/4 drop and have had no problems rubbing. I get comments all the time on how cool my Dunlops are. I can tell you they are some kick ass tires. Make a real awesome sound when you light them up and are great for cornering, a little Grand Tourismo action, hehehehe. I was trying to sell my set up about a month ago. I would have let it go for $950 plus shipping. The tires were bought brand new and were on the truck less than a week. The wheels are polished billet and were also bought new. I am gonna be deploying next week so cant really offer them to anyone right now. Need any other info just leave a post.
