Subject: I'm not crazy about my new Krypton bulbs IP: Logged
Message: I just got a set of kryptons from showoff, 4300K
I see quite-a-bit of blue lights going around, now these kryptons say they're 4300K as opposed of 4000K for xenon. I will give them credit, they are pretty bright, but there really isn't a blue hue to them at all. Hell there's hardly a difference between the stock fogs and the krypton fogs.
SinCityR/T You sent me a pic of your lights, same brand, why do yours seem to have more of a blue hue to them???

Message: Shoulda bought from midnight moose:) there should be a satisfaction guarantee? Send'em back and get the same 4700K Xenons I have or another recommended brand of Xenon. Others complained about them in the rain, but tonight on the way home it was raining and vision was great with a nice bright white light in front of my Dak! Oh, and mine definately have a blue hue to them.

Message: unfortunately they don't So I'm stuck with them but I still want the blue look, I went to midnight moose and could only find these super whites, are these the same guys you bought??
again thanks for all your help, I shoulda listened to you to begin with.
I wonder if the better business bureau would like to hear about them. If they claim it to be blue, and there is no blue??? isn't that false advertizing?? They even say on the box, the closest thing to HID's, whatta bunch of BS.
They are better than stock, but that's about it

Message: When I get home from work I'll see if I can post some better pictures of the bulbs I'm using... I wonder if ShowOff makes multiple types of bulbs for the same size, where one is bluer than the other? I think I still have the packaging from my fog light bulbs sitting around the house. When I fired my headlights/fog lights up for the first time, I was dumbfounded by how much of a blue aura there was with the new bulbs. Either my eyes have gotten used to it or the blue aura has toned down a bit over the 15 months or so they've been on the truck, but it's still easily apparent in window reflections/etc. that they're still very hyperwhite and a lot nicer looking than the factory 'yellowish' bulbs.

Message: If you don't like them, I'll buy the headlamp bulbs off of you. I personally don't like the blue look but I am interested in white(not yellow). I already replace the fogs due to some misterious burnt bulb problem. I replaced them with Kryptons but they wheren't the showoffs and they are defently blue.

Message: I have a Jeep Wrangler with a retro kit.
I found that the bulbs are so cheap that I just ordered 3 different sets off E-Bay:
Dimond Krypton 5000K
Plasma Glow 3900K
FX No temp given
I found that I liked the Diamond Krypton the best. I didn't notice any significan't blue hue except that reflected off the road signs.
Now, I am getting a set of the Dimond Krypton for my Daktota next.
I still have a set of the 65W Xenon bulbs that came with my retro kit. They are pretty bright as well. Very little blue though.
