I have a 98 dakota with clears up
front. I also have clears in the back.
This causes my turn sgnals to flash
really fast. I got a flasher off a ram
to slow it down a bit. I put red
l.e.d.s up front and disconnected a
few wires to achieve a strobing
effect when my hazards are on. It
looks really cool esspecialy w/ my
blue strobe lights. I want to try to
make my reverse lights blink in a
simalar manner. Would it be
possible to hook up a
flasher to them w/ a toggle switch
so that they would light up when in
reverse but then w/ the flip of a
switch stobe?? Help me if you can
or just tell me what you think about
this idea. thanx

Good idea i think.. i have always liked strobe lights and such..
I beleive it can be done.. as long as you have the smarts to do it.. i see no reason why it wouldnt work.. try and find a switch that has the option to have steady current flowing or with the flip of a switch have it strobe action..
I beleive that would be the easiest way..

A friend of mine hooked this up to his reverse and head lights. had to run a few extra wires for the reverse, but it looks really good. its more of a wig wag patter like the squad cars have. but hes tryin to figure out a way to get them so they flash a little faster. SO if i find out ill keep ya posted.

thanx ! that was pretty much what i was looking for. Now i have another question. Exactly which kit did your friend use for his reverse lights, and how hard was it to install. Also has he any problems with them? My hazard conversion shorted out once and that was a b***h to fix. let me know :)

those are what he has now for his head lights, and we installed streeglow "U" strobes in the back up lights. they fit better back there and u can still use your reverse lights. I have the regular strobes in my head lights and ive only had one problem with it. I had to replace em cause water got into the stobe box and fried everything. but other then that, they are awesome. any other questions just shoot me a holla.
