I was wondering if anyone has installed the gutterguard type do-it-your-self grill on a gen II dak. I have also read about a lot of people saying that theirs are rusting. Has anyone found a really good anti-rust treatment for this stuff? I want to do this right the first time so I dont have to re-do it later. Thanx.

I did the gutter guard grill on my genII after going through the winter the look very dull . I just got clear corneres so I am going to paint the gutter guard grill to white to help clean up the front some more. I haven't experienced any rusting they are aluminum I think get the "premium hinged gutter guard" I got mine at home depot

I got the premium hinged stuff at home depot today. I coated all the pieces with rustoleum clear enamel paint. It didn't effect the coloration at all and hopefully it will protect against the elements as well. Im gonna install it tomarrow.

I have since added new clear headlights to replace the old yellowed ones. I also had the stillen front valance on my old dak. But with this one being lowered it sat way too low.

Dodgeboy- what brand is that grill insert you have on your dakota? I put on the grill mesh on my truck nad now it runs hotter. I'm in the process of putting on a dual fan fron flex-a-lite. That grill insert looks good on your truck.
