Subject: Reverse Indiglow Gauges IP: Logged
Message: I installed the Reverse Indiglow gauges I got from http://www.procarparts.com a few weeks ago. They look great in the truck...but...when an indicator light comes on or I use my turn signals they're off center some. At night it looks like I have chinese writing for the warnings. Does anyone else here have these gauges? If so, do you have the same problem? If you figured out how to fix it, what did you do?

Message: Take apart your dash and cluster. Put only the gauges back in with just the new face on. Turn your key to the on position. Line up guages with the indicator lights and either glue the face on or you can screw the plastic cover back on if the face doesn't move. I think that should work.

Message: jimx...thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure if that would help or make it worse. Tomorrow morning I'll see if they have any play and see if I get can get it to line up before I start ripping stuff apart. The original gauges are already glued in. If I try to get them out, I might do more damage than good. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Message: DON'T TAKE THE OLD ONES OUT!
Just glue the new one on over the old one. Or you could use some good 2 sidded tape;)

Message: The symbols on the new gauges might be different than the indicator lights so that might make it look like Chinese writing.

Message: Sorry for taking so long for an update. Been real busy. Sorry to say jimx, I ripped out the gauges. Yeah, yeah, I know you said not to, but I already ripped them out before reading your last post. All words are legable now and my needles don't hang up on me now. New question: before I go on and glue them done, does anyone know if I can buy guage paint for the turnsignals, high beams, check engine, cruise, etc. Since I removed the stock gauges, no warning or turn light have color. It's pretty bright at night. Could I use something as simple as model paint, or is it special kinda paint?
Thanks again for the help.

Message: I have the speed glo dash kit and mine recently stop working. Now at night the only things that light up are the needles. Is there any way to add some light to the cluster or would it be best to go back to the orginal guages???? Need suggestions!!! Thnaks!!;-)

Message: I probably could have put them on without taking off the needles, but I pulled them off to lower the risk of breaking the needles off trying to slide the gauges on.

Message: I've installed the flamed guages from NuImage, and most guage overlays are pretty much the same as far as how they get installed. I just cant see how you can install a guage overlay without removeing the needles. It's not that hard to get the needles back on properly.

Message: For those of you who are installing the gauges from procarparts, check out Eric Giblock's webpage. He has detailed instructions for the gauges that are far better than the universal ones that come with the kit. Mine sat on my bedroom floor for about a month before I ran across his page because I thought they would be too difficult to install. The only thing that I don't like about these gauges is what someone stated earlier. The warning lights don't line up exactly with the factory warnings. It doesn't really bother me too much though because most of the time they are not on. And you can see enough of them to know which one it is.
Below is a picture of mine installed. I know it is a pretty crappy and out of focus picture, but it is the only one I have. I also have an aluminum overlay on mine that I got off of ebay for $20.

Message: I istalled it myself and had the same problem with the warning symbols and letters so i removed the old one and cut out the turn signal arrows made it into a square and put transparent tape over the sqares, and did the same for the sensors in the bottom. Used red and amber and yellow tape the one you use when you brake a tail light.

Message: I have a ? about this euro glow kit, on the stock gauge panel you don't see any of the warning lights until they light up, but on the procarparts.com one you see all the writing on the white panel, is that how it really is ? Or does it look different close up? Also on my 2001 it looks like the stock gauge panel has like an overlay over the actual panel with the markings on it does that overlay get re-used with the euro kit? Did anyone install one of these kits and not have any problems? Maybe a better fit using a different brand? I like the reverse look as compared to the total glow type but it seems like no one else sells a reverse type kit except for procarparts.com, does anyone know of any one else who makes this style kit? Makes you wonder about buying the kit if it doesn't look or install properly.
