hey guys -

i've got a question for all the bikers out there. i'm wondering if any of you have a yakima/thule rack and/or rails mounted on a hard tonneau cover? i remember seeing this on a z71 in an issue of truck trend a few years back, but wanted to know if anyone has done this on their dak? i just can't stand laying my '01 Fisher Big Sur in the bed. it hurts my heart to do that to her...

but i just got my dakota about a month ago. i had a rack on my previous car ('91 buick skylark w/ 4-tech I4 - grrreat engine, small car, awesome package!) and want to utilize some of the same parts if i can so that i can carry my bike like i should in my beautiful new dak. i've seen people posting about having fork mounts on lumber in the 2x4 slots in the bed, but i would need a roll-top cover to do that. see, i want it all. i want a bed-cover AND a bike rack all in one...maybe i just want too much.

anyway, let me know what you think about this idea, or if any of you have tried this. i just think that it would look really good on my truck ('02 SXT cc black).

thanks!

you can also get a bike rack that installs on the ball hitch .I've been using one for a few years now. That way when you wanna upgrade your sweet bike get rear ended bike will crumble and the insurance check will roll in. The way bike componants are advancing we will be riding 15lb full suspension rigs

P.S. I ride a Gary Fisher Carbon Fibre full XTR
