hi there, new the dak world. im a chevy guy (i know, i know :) ) who has picked up a '88 dakota for $200 as my new thing to hot rod since my 69 camaro is about to the point of being unstreetable. to be quite honest, i love my little truck and drive it more than the 'maro. doing a carbed, nitrous huffed, small block mopar swap into the dak as we speak. (soon to be ex-4 banger) my question is this, im your typical hot-rodder who wants to go fast, be unique and do it very cheap. mustang wheels are very cheap and as far as i have found out, the 94-up ones have the same bolt pattern, and close to same back spacing. im thinking of gettign a set form a local junkyard (where fords belong :) haha j/k) cheap and slapping them on the dak. anyone tried this or found a reason why it wont work? any info is much appreciated.

ps- my dak is sore on the eyes, no dents or dings,and a clean interior, but alot of the paint has flaked. what little money i get goes to the motor way before the looks ;) i got a few dinged wheels so that is a necesity before it can go down any track.

You might be on your own on this one! I don't think many people have tried to put mustang wheels on a Dakota!

If you have the five lug wheel pattern on your Dakota, then yes, 5 -lug mustang wheels should fit on your Dakota.
Good luck, and post pictures when you get it done

yea it has the 5 lug setup. thanks for the responce guys :) pics of the 'maro and the truck will be up within th end of the month (i hope).
